The vision for Hip Hop in the Park was given to Rev. Brian Gilbert from God out of Acts 17:22 - 34. Here we see Paul was in a place where there was alot of worship given to different gods. Paul did not come to them and start smashing their idols and altars, but God had anointed him to go in the midst of that culture and speak the gospel to them. Not only that, but He used the culture (i.e. the altar to the unknown god) to proclaim the gospel to them.

Restoration Christian Church and Local Churches are working together to bring Hip Hop in The Park to Cortland, NY. The reality that God is using Hip Hop culture to reach our youth and all who are a part of the Hip Hop Culture. God has anointed men and women to go in Hip Hop culture and proclaim the Gospel through Hip Hop. This is the vision of Hip Hop in the Park.
